NASHVILLE PARTNERS WITH HOLLYWOOD FOR A SPECIAL PROJECT.
In reference to the secret combination needed for the makings of a superstar,” Wayne Warner has the IT in capital letters” says celebrated producer Harold Shedd. He should know, he launched the “stars of the decade” such as ACM Artist Of The Decade Alabama, as well as BillyRay Cyrus, Toby Keith and Shania Twain to name a few.  That “it” and the heart behind it, sure come to life in the much talked about Nashville based project, God Bless The Children.

The up-coming release, God Bless The Children, has now developed into an all-out “event”. The powerful heart tugging lyric speaks for many children and their cry for love wrapped with a melody that just might force drivers to pull over to the side of the road when they hear it on the radio. The song took on an even deeper meaning for the artist after adopting his own children and becoming a proud member in “the brotherhood of dads”. While the song was written years ago, he says, “I put it away knowing that when the time was right, I wanted to do something special with it”.

Special indeed, while the original date was pushed back due to relief efforts in the wake of the recent hurricanes, with a proud coalition of “The NewJersey Dept Of Human Services,The Dave Thomas Foundation, AdoptUSkids and The Heart Gallery, the song will be recorded and filmed featuring an all-star cast on Feb 7, 2006 at as yet, an un-disclosed location.

Wayne has high praise for people who work in the adoption arena, describing them as “a lot of great people with even greater hearts. These warmhearted professionals do so many unbelievably great works silently and with deep passion.” Wayne continues with “These are the type of men and women who should be signing autographs.” In fact, Wayne has given all financial and awareness rewards to these programs. “Without them, this project would have never entered reality. I am thrilled that even at this early stage of my career, that radio has taken me to a place where I can play a small role in amplifying what they do as well as bring awareness to an on-going need”. says the former Atlantic artist.

Often described as a borderline recluse, with no kin to small talk or chatter, Warner’s eyes light up when he talks about the great artists who have signed on to this project. “What an honor for me as well as an awesome reflection for Miss. Country Music herself”. While some participants have been longtime friends, “I am a huge fan of all of these astounding artists and for more then their talent” .Wayne says of the soon to be released line-up, a line-up that continues to grow. “These artists prove once again that where there is a need for a great cause, country music answers”.

Nashville was not alone in answering the call. Wayne has received enthusiasm from Hollywood’s superstar Bruce Willis. “He has been a long time cherished and diligent advocate for adoption awareness”, says Warner, “I have always been a fan of his work, but the more I learn about him, the more I become a fan of his soul.” “Smallville” star and “Bo Duke” himself John Schneider has also committed to “God Bless The Children” in what Wayne calls “yet another example of a person who engages the success of his talents to aid in so many great needs. What an honor to have his support.” News of the project has been as far-reaching as Oprah, Bruce Springsteen, Richard Petty, Brad Pitt, William Shatner, Ken Kragen as well as adoptive parents Barbra Walters, Nicole Kidman and Angelina Jolie.

While the logistics of a production such as this can change daily and be “all-consuming,” (Wayne postponed the release of 10,000 TEARS AGO, a single that was slated for mid 2005) some things have somewhat “fallen into place.”  Award winning video producer John Lloyd Miller (Garth’s “The Dance”) signed on immediately after hearing the song and becoming aware of the foundations involved. Of the project John says “This is personal.” He too is the proud father of adopted children.

Regarding his career Warner states that, “for me, it’s not about how high you can get on a chart – it’s about what you can do with however high you get. While music has been my passion, I’ve always said that unless I could use it to make a difference, it would be void of reason. I love this one.”
